Experian

SAS development, enterprise reporting and repeatable data processing. SAS Macro, PROC SQL, FREQ and MEANS; SAS formats; Excel, Word and PDF outputs; period-to-period checks and automated report distribution.

Scope and responsibilities

Integration with Hive through SAS LIBNAME and SQL Pass-Through, and IBM DB2 on Linux and Mainframe. Production report maintenance, versioning and metadata registration; support for client-supplied SAS programs and CPORT files. Historically, a two-person team supported approximately 10,000 production programs with weekly, monthly and quarterly runs; a shared maintenance and operational responsibility.

Public Records / Web Scraping

Experian

Data extraction and automation with C#, Selenium, XSLT, SQL and Windows Services. Built scraping robots and contributed to a reusable framework with shared libraries and standardized routines.

Scope and responsibilities

HTML transformation and SQL data integration, with TortoiseSVN version control. Designed, developed and deployed a Windows Service for processing manually collected records and images.

SAS / Hive report optimization

Helped reduce selected reports from roughly eight hours to one hour or less through SAS code changes, testing and log-based performance comparisons. A Specialist colleague proposed aggregating in Hive with GROUP BY; I contributed to its implementation and validation.

Windows Service in production

Automated records integration

Developed a C# service that detected ZIP files, identified their source, processed images, retrieved XSLT transformations and loaded structured records and images into SQL tables. It replaced manual transformation and loading steps.

Contribution & scope
Created and developed as my own personal project, motivated by my interest in Bitcoin and historical market data.
Solution
Binance candle collection, PostgreSQL storage, interactive price and indicator charts, and diagnostics for coverage, missing candles and integrity. Market, Data Quality, Forecast and ML remain separate views.
Validation
The working demo queries stored data. Browser tests check reports, chart interactions, exports and incomplete-data states.
Limits
Statistical and ML outputs are experimental, not investment advice. Stored data is not a live quote; insufficient daily coverage is shown explicitly.

Accommodation prices are difficult to compare without considering location, room type and guest capacity.
Contribution & scope
Adapted from a hands-on MIT learning exercise for the GrekoLabs rental analytics demo.
Solution
A Santiago dashboard built from public Inside Airbnb data: price filters, distributions, neighbourhood comparisons, capacity charts and an interactive map.
Validation
Filters, charts and map are checked against the same PostgreSQL report, including outliers and missing-data states.
Limits
A descriptive snapshot, not a live listings service, booking platform or rental-price prediction. Source and dataset date remain visible in the demo.

Problem
A facial-expression prototype needs an understandable inference workflow and visible limitations.
Contribution & scope
Practical participation in a guided machine learning project, exploring the facial-expression inference workflow.
Solution
Upload a JPG or PNG with one face; inspect the detected crop, 48 × 48 grayscale input and original outputs from an existing Keras model, running on CPU.
Validation
Technical tests verify inference and handling of missing or multiple faces. They do not establish classifier accuracy.
Limits
Classifies facial expressions in still images, not audio, text or live video. Four saved classes; scores are not certainty or a measurement of a person's actual emotions.
